We all know that its important to control your image on Google.   One of the best ways to get to the top of a Google SERP is to buy your own domain and populate it with good content.    But there is a little known way to get on the first page in 5 minutes - that is by creating a Google Profile page.  

To start go to http://www.google.com/profiles   If you dont already have a gmail account - then you should go ahead and create one.  

You can add:

• A short Bio
• Photos
• Links to your online pages as Facebook and Twitter
• Your Tagline
• Your Interests
• Where you have lived

Dont worry if your google login name is not the same as your real name.  In the edit form you will enter your name and this will be what gets indexed first.    For example my google account name is "zunisdad" for reasons lost in time - but if you search on "Jeffrey Blake" - you will see my Google profile show up at the bottom of the first page.  And what is great about this is that your page gets indexed seemingly instantly.   

My page is found at http://www.google.com/profiles/zunisdad  I have almost everything I want you to know about me listed there.   I added some pertinent links but in the edit form Google will actually suggest some links that it knows you are associated with.    This page is a great start on a personally branded page.
